This is a REAL case study (not mine).

Before I get into it, let me explain why I’m sharing this with you… at 11PM, on a Thursday night, when I should be asleep.
In short, I’m sharing it because I truly want to help you. I want to see you succeed online. I want to help you become financial free.
As corny, and rah-rah, as that sounds… it’s the God’s honest truth.

You see, this case study is from 2014. Which is like, a million years in internet marketing time.
A lot has changed since then. I’m not even sure this type of offer exists anymore.
However, there are tons of similar offers that can be promoted using the exact same strategy.

The traffic source was Facebook. The offer was a battery saver app for Android devices. The payout was $1.00 per app install.
Remember, this was at the end of 2013/the beginning of 2014.
The battery life on phones was awful. It was a huge appeal to be able to save the battery life on your phone.
And, that right there is really the secret behind the entire success of this campaign.
It was a solution to an annoying problem. And, it was free (kinda). It was free to install and run a report but it cost money to fix the problems causing the battery from draining.
A low barrier to entry (a free offer) makes your job as the affiliate much easier.
Here’s why you wouldn’t be able to replicate the exact same campaign today:
First of all, Facebook has gotten too expensive to be able to run low-payout offers like that.
Second of all, I don’t even think battery saving apps are a “thing” anymore. I’m sure they still exist but the demand for them just isn’t there.
Don’t worry though, I’m going to tell you exactly what you CAN run today that’s almost identical to this campaign.
You ready? Here we go…
There are tons of these offers out there ready and waiting for you to promote them as an affiliate.
I’m talking about free software downloads. They’re low barrier to entry for the visitor but they solve very specific, annoying problems.
Here’s the one I would run if I were to set up one of these campaigns today:
OneSafe Mac Cleaner. It pays out $4.00 per free download and install.
OneSafe has a number of different offers for both PC and Mac but I’m a Mac guy.
And, part of my strategy would be to actually download, install, and use the product and then share my results.
It’s super simple to do.
You don’t need to do a video or anything like that. Just make a quick step-by-step guide of the process you followed and results you achieved. Simple.
It’s a massive problem people have… slow computers, loaded with a bunch of junk files that are taking up space.
If you can show them a free option that actually works… it’s a no-brainer for them.
Using this strategy also makes your traffic campaign setup super simple.
I know exactly who to target. This offer only accepts US traffic, on Mac desktop computers. BAM! No guessing which demographics to choose because the offer is already created for one specific person.
Now, all I need to is login to my preferred Mass Traffic source and create a campaign targeting those specific people.
And, guess what… according to their estimations… they have 2,388,690,060 of those people that I can reach on their ad network with a starting bid of just $0.0074 visit.
