But before I dig in to a few different Useproof alternatives, let me explain a little about what Proof is.
Being that you’re looking for alternatives… you probably already know what Proof does. It’s a social proof popup software that displays social proof notifications from recent actions on your website.

If you do a Google search for “Useproof reviews”… not a lot comes up. Kinda weird, right?
I’m not really sure why that is but hopefully my honest review will be helpful to you.
I don’t remember exactly when the first time was that I saw a Proof pop up on a sales page. My guess is 2015 or 2016.
I’ve been a customer for some time now and I can tell you without a doubt that my conversions have increased for no other reason than adding the Proof widget to my sales page.
Creating your Proof campaign is simple. Add the code to your sales page is easy. And deciphering your data is even easier.
That being said, I think their recent bump in price is going to hurt them in the future.
Currently, their monthly pricing model is as follows:
- Pro Plan: $79/mo. for 10,000 unique monthly visitors
- Business Plan: $129/mo. for 50,000 unique monthly visitors
- Premium Plan: $199/mo. for 100,000 unique monthly visitors
I’m on the Business Plan but tend to get nervous when I’m running a high volume of email traffic to my email newsletter businesses.
I’m afraid I’ll hit that 50,000 unique monthly visitor mark and get bumped up to a $200 per month price point. Not cool.

Now lets talk about some of Proof’s biggest competitors. Up until earlier this year, they had very few competitors in the market.
Not any more! A whole slew of competitors have popped up over the last few months.

Those are just some of the biggest competitors going up against Proof right now. But the one I want to talk about right now is Provely.
Useproof vs Provely
Provely is my number one recommendation for anyone looking for a Useproof alternative.
Useproof prices range from $792-$1,992/yr.
Provely prices range from $97-$197/yr.
Useproof limits unique monthly users from 10,000-100,000.
Provely offers unlimited monthly users with all of their plans.
Now, I will say this… the one down side to Provely is they only offer one type of social proof notification. All they offer is the recent opt-ins or sales notification.
That being said, that notification is the most powerful one to use. It’s the only notification that Proof offered when they got started too.
Obviously, the biggest benefit of choosing Provely as an alternative to Useproof is the price difference.
They are the most reasonably priced and their product works great. I’ve tested it on one of my sales pages and conversions have definitely increased.

Social Proof In Marketing
One of the most powerful things you can do to increase conversions on your website is to add social proof.
Social Proof is one of Robert Cialdini’s 6 Principles of Persuasion. Here are all six of his principles:

Those are all static examples. Things that have happened in the past.
When someone is on your website and they’re interested in your product, they want to know that other people like them are purchasing at the same time.
One of the biggest fears we as humans have is to be publicly humiliated. To be called out and made fun of.
When making an online purchase, it’s always in the back of mind that we hope this is a legit site and that we aren’t just getting scammed.
Because if that happened, we’d never hear the end of it from our significant other and their family.
This is exactly what social proof software like Provely addresses. It provides real-time social proof. It helps to put the visitor’s mind at ease.
